Vacancy

As a Sales and Customer Success Intern at Orbisk, you fully participate in the Orbisk commercial team, which is responsible for the customer side of the company. During this internship, you are engaged in both sales-related activities and tasks that ensure customer success.

You will have the opportunity to help elaborating a suitable sales plan, in which you describe how Orbisk can introduce their food waste solutions to the market and new customers. Besides, you attend sales meetings, visit (potential) new customers and go to sales pitches. The administrative processing of information about customers in the CRM system is also part of your task package.

In addition, you will be present at food waste updates, in which a customer is advised on the reduction of food waste based on the available data. In this way, the aim is to reduce food waste by the customer and increase their satisfaction. The more independently you can work, the more responsibilities you will receive. Therefore, taking own initiative will be appreciated.

You are part of the Sales & CS team, which currently consists of six Sales Employees and seven Customer Success employees. You will be actively involved in the company by participating in team meetings and having one-on-one conversations with your colleagues. A senior member of your team will be your supervisor during your internship.

If you enjoy selling a product that prevents food waste and find it challenging to work independently in an environment where nothing is set in stone, then this is the job for you.

Working week

Sales and Customer Success Intern

On an enjoyable day, you attend a customer visit and have an appointment with one of the founders of Orbisk about food waste. In the afternoon, you work on the sales plan for the latest food waste monitor. At the end of the day, you enjoy having a drink with your colleagues!

On a less enjoyable day, you mainly perform administrative tasks, such as archiving potential customers in the CRM system. This is quite a job, but in the end it will lead to the emergence of new food waste warriors.

Firsthand experience

You have received a request from a potential customer. How do you proceed?

You delve into the customer by looking up information via Google and LinkedIn. Then, you process this information in the CRM system. With the help of this information, you prepare a neat email to the customer in which you state what you can do for them. You check the email carefully and send it afterwards. If you don't have a response a few days later, you call the customer. If it turns out that the customer is interested, you try to make an appointment by telephone for a week later.

During this internship you approach leads, which makes it important that you can sell a service or product well. Therefore, it is important that you have good communication skills and a commercial attitude.

Growth

You work in a fresh and creative start-up, where everyone wants to learn from each other. Everyone has their own specialization. In the coming years, the organization will also focus on international growth, which means that more and more new positions will become available.

Working at Orbisk

Orbisk is a start-up with a clear mission: to make the global food system more sustainable. The start-up provides complete insights into the food flows of hospitality organizations. Orbisk does this by offering a smart camera and scale that uses image recognition to register which food is thrown away, when, and in what quantity. The customer can view this data in the dashboard, which provides insight into food wastage and can be used to reduce it.
