Working week

Host(ess) Eastwood Beer & Grill

On a nice weekday, the restaurant is pretty full with individual reservations and groups. By tactically placing guests, you also create space for hotel guests without reservations who would like to come and eat.

On a day when things don't run smoothly, the flow of guests doesn't go smoothly and you have to say no a little more often to guests who haven't made reservations.

Firsthand experience

A group of six guests enters without a reservation. Unfortunately, you don't have a table of six available for the next half hour. What do you do?

You notice that the hotel's adjacent Lobby Bar is mostly quiet. You tell guests they can go there right away for bites or a burger, if necessary. If they would prefer to dine anyway, you indicate that the guests will be put on a digital waiting list. In the meantime, they can order drinks at the bar and receive a notification when you have a table available for the group.

Growth

This growth and development takes place by offering a very complete induction program and a wide range of courses and training, whereby the exact offer depends on the department in which you work, the role you fulfill and the growth path that you coordinate with your manager.
