Vacancy

As a Production Employee at Wasserij/Linnenverhuur G. van der Kleij & Zn., you are responsible for processing towels and linen using folding and/or ironing machines. You ensure that the folded laundry is correctly sorted into containers. You work closely with your colleagues to guarantee efficient and clean handling of the textiles. Part of your role is inspecting the laundry to make sure everything is processed in good condition.

During your daily tasks, you are constantly on the move. You alternate between feeding linen into one side of the machine and collecting the folded and/or ironed stacks from the other side. Additionally, you help with sorting the laundry and occasionally move roll containers to the correct (work) locations. It’s important that you work well with your team and perform the tasks quickly and accurately. Sometimes, extra attention is required to filter out linen that isn’t clean enough or has damage, or to pack the roll containers exactly as requested by the customer. At the end of the day, you tidy and clean your workstation.

You will be part of a motivated team that ensures a smooth production flow. The department works according to a tight schedule where everyone knows their role and tasks are well coordinated. You will find yourself in a friendly but hard-working environment where teamwork and quality are key.

If you enjoy working with both folding and ironing machines, sorting linen neatly, and take pride in performing careful and high-quality work, then this is the job for you.

Firsthand experience

The mangle/folding machine malfunctions in the middle of a production cycle and suddenly stops. What do you do?

In the event of a malfunction, you first see if you can solve it yourself, for example by loosening or removing something. If that doesn't work, you report the malfunction and call the technician. In the meantime, you ensure that the other machines continue to run and you let your colleagues know what is going on. When the technician arrives, you explain what happened and help with the testing. Then you check the first load of laundry and continue with your work.
