Spielwork (hereafter referred to as “we” or “us”) in the context of their services processes data that are linked to you as a user of our services or to identify you as a user (personal data). This is performed in accordance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). This privacy statement outlines how we as controllers collect, share, use or otherwise process personal data.

2. Personal data we process and our goal

2.1 Use of website

When you visit the Spielwork Platform, amongst others accessible through the www.spielwork.com website, we collect information related to the type of instrument you use to visit our website, the type of browser and which web pages you visit. This concerns non-identifiable data that assist us in improving the Platform and the website, and in so doing optimise the ease of use.

In this context, we also place cookies, small files that are saved on your computer, tablet or mobile phone when the website is visited. You can find more information on this in our cookie statement.

2.2 Registering profile

When you wish to save a certain vacancy or profile, or receive recommendations about possible interesting vacancies, you need to create a profile. In this case, we ask you for your name and email address. After registration, you can (on a voluntary basis) add to or edit the data in your profile. In this way, you can (amongst others) complete or upload the following personal data:

  • Contact details such as address, (mobile) telephone number and email address
  • Sex
  • Date of Birth
  • Curriculum Vitae or education and career details
  • Passport photo

Spielwork does not process any sensitive personal data

When you have created a profile with us, we keep you up to date on our services and any possibly relevant companies and /or vacancies. The recommended vacancies are selected based on a number of factors including but not limited to your profile information and /or CV, your searches on our website and the vacancies you click on and/or apply for. You yourself can unsubscribe from these newsletters at any time via a link in the email concerned.

2.3 Reacting to vacancies

If you wish to apply for a vacancy through the Spielwork Platform, two possible situations can be identified.

1. Application via Spielwork
In this situation Spielwork shares your email address and – to the extent it is filled in or available  – your CV, short motivation, LinkedIn profile and / or Spielwork profile details – with the company or organisation of the vacancy concerned. The retention of this data consists of one year.

2. Direct link to website of vacancy provider
In this case, you are directly forwarded to the website of the company or organisation of the vacancy concerned. In that case, it must be taken into account that these websites have their own privacy statement on which we have no influence. Consult the applicable conditions and privacy statement before you pass on your personal data through the website of the company or organisation.

3. Personal data we share with others

Spielwork does not share your personal data with others, except in the following cases:

  1. Companies to which we – at your request- have provided your data;
  2. Companies we use on behalf of our services (‘processors’ ), for example our IT suppliers. In our processing agreements, we have made agreements with them concerning careful handling and security of personal data.
  3. Authorities or parties to whom we have to disclose certain personal data due to legal obligations.
  4. Insofar as we have received your permission to share with others – such as Google and Facebook – in order to show you relevant advertisements. For further information, we refer you to our cookie statement.

In order to optimize and improve the use of our website, we have insight into your behaviour as a user of our website. Google Analytics is used to do this. This functionality has been set up to be privacy friendly, and for this we have concluded a processing agreement with Google, so the IP address is anonymized and no data is shared with Google.

The personal data we process are in principal not distributed to parties or companies outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Should the forwarding of personal data to parties and countries outside the EEA be necessary, then the legal requirements will be complied with.

4. Security of personal data

We have taken applicable technical and organisational measures to optimally protect your personal data from unauthorised access and misuse. The Data is saved in encrypted form in a data centre in the Netherlands and protected against unauthorised access through encrypted transmission and storage.

5. Your rights

We store your personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes for which the personal data were obtained, and in accordance with the applicable legal storage periods. At all times, you have the right to request earlier deletion of your personal data.

You also have the right to request to see, change, add or transfer your personal data. Moreover, you can independently change and/or delete data in your profile. In addition, you can submit a request to limit certain data processing and have a right to object. Requests or complaints concerning privacy can de made through the contact details shown. Upon receipt of a request, we will react here within the normal time limits.

For the sake of completeness, we would also like to point out that you have the right to file a complaint with the regulatory body, the “Dutch Data Protection Authority”.

6. Applicable law

Solely Dutch law will govern this privacy statement as well as all possible differences resulting from or related to this privacy statement.

7. Amendments

We withhold the right to adapt this privacy statement to ensure conformity with the applicable law and regulations. It is recommended to consult the privacy statement with some degree of regularity so that you are up to date with possible amendments.
