Vacancy

As a supply chain planner at Kompak, you are responsible for ensuring efficient and effective planning so that production can continue uninterrupted within the agreed delivery times and quantities with the customer. You are responsible for coordinating between internal departments, such as Logistics, Production, and Sales, and external parties, such as customers, suppliers, and transport companies. You ensure smooth communication and collaboration so that processes run smoothly and objectives are achieved. You ensure that the right raw materials and packaging materials are available on time, processed orders and forecasts are assessed for feasibility, and the planning is implemented smoothly without causing delays. You play an active role in identifying bottlenecks and anticipating changes, ensuring you are always one step ahead in resolving problems and safeguarding progress.

In this position, you are also responsible for the operational purchasing of materials, drafting the S&OP plan, and communicating progress to the various departments within the company. You maintain close contact with customers, regularly informing them about the status of their orders and periodically reporting on performance and KPIs. Additionally, together with the project management team, you are involved in the implementation of new projects to further optimize the processes and systems within Kompak. Thanks to your problem-solving abilities and communication skills, you ensure that the entire supply chain runs smoothly, from procurement to transport to the end customer.

You will be working in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) department, where you will collaborate with four other SCM planners and a personnel planner. You will communicate frequently with various colleagues from other departments, such as Logistics, Production, and Sales, to achieve objectives together. There is an informal and collegial atmosphere within the team, with room for personal development and suggesting process improvements.

If you enjoy communicating effectively, like to work in a solution-oriented manner, and find it challenging to remain accurate under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, then this job is for you.

Firsthand experience

Production capacity has been reserved for next week, but the bottle supplier reports a delay due to a broken machine. Your customer urgently needs the finished product. What do you do?

You remain calm and act immediately. Together with the supplier, you assess the expected delay and look for alternatives: is another supplier or temporary stock available? Next, you coordinate with production regarding any shifts in the schedule. You actively keep your end customer informed and offer a realistic plan, aiming to keep the impact on their inventory as limited as possible. In doing so, you demonstrate that you work in a solution-oriented manner and possess strong communication skills.
