Vacancy
As a Mechanic at Kompak, you are responsible for conducting (preventive) maintenance on the machines, installations, and tools. You monitor the correct and safe use of the machines and materials and actively work on improving work processes.
In this role, the Work Preparation department schedules your tasks and inspection rounds. You then assess whether you can perform the technical maintenance yourself or whether it is necessary to engage an internal or external expert. If the latter is the case, you guide them in carrying out the maintenance or inspection. You also instruct Operators and Production Management on the correct setup and use of the machines and materials and actively monitor this. To ensure safety on the work floor, you identify and report unsafe situations promptly and take appropriate measures.
You record all work and inspections that you perform in the Technical Department's systems or in the quality management systems. Finally, you are responsible for maintaining and implementing the maintenance schedule and improving work and safety instructions and (production) processes.
You're part of the Technical Service team. This team consists of seven to nine Mechanics, two Work Planners, and a Team Leader.
If you enjoy working with control technology and pneumatics together with a team and find it a challenge to actively improve work processes, then this is a job for you.
Working week
On a good day, you're working with a colleague to replace a gearbox. All the parts are in stock, and the installation goes smoothly. After cleaning up your workspace, you go home satisfied.
On a less pleasant day, you're scheduled for several small tasks. You work individually all day repairing minor defects, and only have time to chat with your colleagues at the end of the workday.
