Vacancy

As a Cloud Engineer, you are responsible for the technical (continuous) development of the entire cloud landscape of the Relatics application. The main focus here is to ensure that Relatics runs as best, stable and fast as possible worldwide. Furthermore, you are continuously investigating which functionalities can be added to improve the Relatics software. For this purpose, you use the team’s knowledge and experience. You are the first point of contact for technical issues, and are able to analyse these issues and find a suitable solution. You have knowledge of the cloud services’ architecture and infrastructure, including the Microsoft Azure platform. You develop and continuously update this knowledge.

If you enjoy finding solutions to complex issues and are able to cope with high work pressure (for example in the case of a malfunction), then this is the job for you.

Working week

Cloud Engineer
Evert-Jan Schinkel

I have an enjoyable day when I have finalized a new functionality, making the software more stable.

My day is less enjoyable when I spend the whole day looking for a solution, and eventually I don’t find the right one resulting in the problem remaining unsolved.

Firsthand experience

You find out that the Relatics (environment) of the client is unavailable. How do you proceed?

It is of importance that you find a temporary solution as fast as possible. For example, you log onto the server and see whether the website is still working properly. If you find out that the software contains a major bug, you ask a developer for help to rewrite the code. Then you look at the website to see if it is now functioning properly. When the solution has been implemented, you analyse what the underlying problem is to prevent it from happening again.

Growth

At Relatics, there is no set growth path and there is plenty of freedom to develop. You are encouraged to join training courses and there is no maximum training budget. You are allowed time off to spend freely on personal development.
