Vacancy

The Senior Reporting Analyst (Data Management) at Mizuho Bank Europ N.V. is responsible for supporting the business when it comes to Reporting, Process Management and Data Management. You will be the first point of contact for receiving requirements and issues within the Data Management, Financial and Non-Financial reporting areas, and will break these down into features and user stories. An active mentality is required, as you will have the chance to implement some of these features yourself. Tracking ongoing status of these issues will be an additional part of your book of work.

In this role, you will not only plan and analyse, but also develop reports and dashboards to improve processes supporting different departments within the bank. Together with the team lead, you will organize the process to follow up on any outstanding issues that are impacting any form of reporting. You will be setting up the data and process flows for those reporting and internal processes which are managed by IT&DM. As a senior member of the team, you are expected to independently handle audits and inquiries on data quality. As the teams size is on the smaller side, you will have an unique opportunity to contribute across a wide scope of activities within the Data Management and Reporting Team.

The IT department formally consists of three interconnected teams: Data Management, Infrastructure and Development. This role falls within the Data Management team consisting of 5 people with a diverse set of skills and responsibilities. On a day-to-day basis you will report to the Data Management team lead, with a formal line to the IT Department Head.

If you have an affinity with data, enjoy working process-based and solution-oriented, and you find it challenging to constantly look for improvement opportunities, then this is a job for you.

Firsthand experience

Data processes are scattered between several departments and entities, but you want to get an overall picture in order to monitor the processes as well as possible. How do you proceed?

The data processes must comply with standard number BCBS 239, which means that a bank must have access to and insight into every cross-section at every desired aggregation level at all times. By jointly providing insight into the data processes, you can check whether these processes meet this quality standard and, if not, how this can be achieved. To get an overall picture of the data processes in the company, meetings have to be scheduled with all relevant stakeholders and process flows need to be created.
