Vacancy

As a QC Officer at Kompak, you are responsible for routinely performing various chemical analyses on semi-finished and finished products, including density, pH, viscosity, and chloride. In addition to performing these analyses, you also ensure the calibration and maintenance of the necessary equipment and are involved in managing the stock of chemicals and other supplies. The accurate recording of all analysis results takes place in our LIMS system, which is important for ensuring the quality and traceability of the products.

You work closely with your direct colleagues in the quality department, but you also have regular contact with the production department to ensure that all processes run smoothly and meet the highest quality standards. In this role, precision and attention to detail are very important, as your analyses contribute directly to the reliability and safety of the products. Furthermore, you play a role in quality management and support production by ensuring that the chemical properties of the products remain consistent and within specifications. You will become part of the QC team, which currently consists of 3 QC employees: 2 working in chemistry and 1 in microbiology.

If you enjoy performing routine analyses and don't mind working under time pressure in a production environment, then this job is for you.

Firsthand experience

A chemical analysis falls outside the specifications. What do you do?

If an analysis falls outside the specifications, another Analyst performs a re-analysis on the same sample. If this re-analysis again falls outside the specifications, a new sample is requested from production. If this second sample also fails to meet the specifications, the product is blocked and an internal complaint is filed. This complaint is discussed during the daily production meeting and further handled by the Quality Assurance (QA) department to determine the cause and take appropriate measures.
