As a Junior Technical Writer at EuroSort you are responsible for the technical documentation for a project concerning a sorting installation. You structure, design, write and maintain this documentation and ensure that it is delivered on time.
In order to clarify the scope of the project, you consult with the Engineers. You collect the right information for the documentation and then start working on implementation of it. This includes operating and maintenance manuals for the installation, test documentation based on functional and technical specifications, performance test documentation and training documents. It is important that this documentation is completed by the time the installation is delivered.
You are part of the Technical Documentation team, which consists of a Senior Technical Writer and a Mid-level Technical Writer. The Project Manager directs you and you receive daily guidance from the Senior Technical Writer.
If you like to be involved with technology in a linguistic way, and you find it challenging to deliver well-structured documents, then this is a job for you.
Working week
On an enjoyable working day, you were able to deliver a document well in time. In addition, a process has been improved, allowing you to work more efficiently from now on.
On a less enjoyable working day, you can't find the necessary specifications. Apparently the process is not working properly, but you see this as an opportunity to make improvements.
