Vacancy

As a Sales Engineer / Project Manager at BlueHeart Energy, you are the technical bridge between the company and the customer. You understand both Blueheart's technology and the technical needs and requirements of the customers. These customers are mainly heat pump manufacturers. You attend meetings with customers to provide details about BlueHeart Energy's technology and answer technical questions. You also gather information about the customer's requirements and identify their technical needs. In this way, you try to match BlueHeart's technology to the customer's needs as closely as possible.

You are also responsible for the project management of the actual implementation at the customers' premises. Together with the Sales team and the customer, you define the necessary steps for technical integration and you are the first point of contact for colleagues for questions about the customer's requirements. Finally, you keep your knowledge of the technology and the market up-to-date by speaking to parties in the same industry - such as installers, construction companies and certification bodies - and exchanging information.

You are part of the Business Development Team, which is managed by the Director Business Development. You will also work in a multifunctional agile team on various projects within BlueHeart Energy.

If you enjoy working with many different parties and coordinating technical projects, and find it challenging to do so within an organisation where there is a lot of change, then this is a job for you.

Working week

Sales Engineer / Project Manager

On an enjoyable day, you visit a factory of one of the customers, review the integration process and agree on the steps to be taken in the coming month. You also discover how one of the features can simplify the customer's production process. You immediately forward this information to the Research & Development team.

On a less enjoyable day, an important meeting with a client is postponed, so you cannot provide the input the Development Team needs. This causes some delays in the process.

Firsthand experience

A new customer is ready to use BlueHeart as the heart of their heat pumps. How do you go about integrating this into the customer's production line?

First, together with the Sales team you determine which application (A/W, W/W, new construction vs. existing housing...) will be started. You define the technical requirements for the physical integration and the control integration. You then map out the steps to be taken for both the integration and the tests that will be carried out, defining the specific technical requirements for each of these phases/tests. You oversee and coordinate the entire integration process, being both the point of contact for the customer, as well as for the internal Development Team.

Growth

The growth path at BlueHeart Energy is not fixed. The company expects to grow rapidly in the coming years and create opportunities for anyone ready to take on new responsibilities. BlueHeart Energy offers training and courses and knowledge sharing between employees is very important. The big advantage of the start-up phase is that your own initiative is highly valued and you can create your own job. As Blue Heart Energy grows, you grow with it.

Sales Engineer / Project Manager

Working at BlueHeart Energy

BlueHeart Energy was founded in 2016 to apply thermoacoustics as a technology in heat pumps. Thermoacoustics is a disruptive approach to generate heat and cold, with potential to revolutionize the whole industry. Over the past five years, BHE has developed a thermoacoustic engine to power heat pumps in residential buildings. This so called 'Blue Heart' of a heat pump is sold to manufacturers. In the coming years, Blue Heart will have to be further developed and optimized. Besides this, we must set up our production and strengthen the relationships with our customers.
