Vacancy
As a Junior Management Consultant at Anderson MacGyver, you are responsible for advising organizations on issues related to digitalization and digital strategy. You do this primarily at a strategic level, which means that you mainly advise directors and senior management. Your work is broad and diverse; from advising on the first principles for a new digital strategy, all the way to guiding and supporting the implementation of new solutions at customers.
When starting a new client project, you immediately focus on understanding the client's goals and showing how you can deliver real impact. You prepare interviews with the client, for example by asking assistance from colleagues who have conducted similar interviews. You ask the client the right questions and ensure that you get the data you need. Further, you organise a workshop with the client in which you work out with the client how their problem should be solved. Finally, you work out an advisory report in which you present your team's recommendations to the client.
On Fridays, we gather at the office to develop both as a team and as individuals. Part of the day is spent working on internal concepts, which means further developing methods that were designed for previous assignments so that they can be used more widely. Furthermore we spent time on client work and on self development, for example by following training courses or attending a lecture.
Anderson MacGyver has a flat structure in which everyone works under one country director. Everyone is part of one big team and also of smaller project teams, which change over time. Who you work with depends entirely on the project you are working on. The clients you help are generally large companies, in all kinds of sectors. From the construction, infrastructure or energy sector to the insurance and banking sector.
If you enjoy solving complex IT problems under time pressure and can handle feedback and (sometimes) critical customers, then this is a job for you.
Working week
On a good day a project is going well and according to schedule, leaving you space to really put the finishing touches on things.
On a more challenging day, you start work early in the morning and you do not finish until late in the day, while still not having gotten around to the things you wanted to do. This is exceptional, but quite bothersome.
