Vacancy

As a Group BI / Pricing Analyst at ZND Group, you are responsible for improving the operation and strengthening ZND’s position within the value chain and the route-to-market. You do this by setting up and running dashboards and by making pricing and cost analyses for the five factories in four countries (the Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States and Poland). You support the Management team and the Managing Directors to continuously improve their operations and make data-driven decisions.

On the basis of strategic issues within the company, you develop new dashboards, using Excel and PowerBI. You also identify, implement and scale improvements in the existing dashboards and reporting practices and advocate these in the broader organization. In addition, you run analyses for ad hoc questions from colleagues. In this role, there is plenty of opportunity to come up with new ideas and implement improvements.

You are part of the Finance & BI Team, which consists of five Financial Directors and the IT Manager. The team is led by the CFO. You also work closely with an external development agency.

If you like to work in a role where you have a lot of freedom to plan your own activities and you find it challenging that some tasks arise very unexpectedly, then this is the job for you.

Working week

Group BI / Pricing Analyst

On an enjoyable day, you have an interesting meeting with the CFO, during which you come up with many new ideas. You also spend a lot of time generating new insights.

On a less enjoyable day, the management team asks you a lot of ad hoc questions. As a result, you don't have much time left to work on your other tasks.

Firsthand experience

The CEO and the CFO have a strategic issue: what is the influence of price increases on the purchase volumes of the fencing? How do you proceed?

First of all, you schedule a meeting with the CEO and the CFO to brainstorm and discuss the exact question. After that, you start working with Excel and PowerBI. Huge amounts of data can be found in the data warehouse, so you try things out and decide which analysis provides the best insights to answer the question. You present your results in PowerBI, Excel or PowerPoint and discuss the next steps with the CEO and the CFO.

Growth

You determine your growth within the company yourself by defining your own projects and ambitions. ZND Group supports training and courses, and sharing knowledge is very important among employees.

Working at ZND Group

ZND Group is a global business specialising in temporary fencing, hoarding, pedestrian barriers and wire production. ZND Group was established in 1965 in Holland and now has operations in Holland, Poland, United Kingdom and the United States (with factories in North Carolina and California), supplying products to clients and distributors across the globe from the warehouses around the world. Fencing is supplied to distribution partners, such as resellers and rental companies. These partners in turn supply the construction and events sector. The ZND fences were used for the Olympic Games in London and Rio, the Tour de France and the visit of the Pope in Poland, but above all the fences are visible in everyday life along the road during construction projects. ZND's sales teams are active throughout Europe and North America.
