What is required?

  • HBO / WO working and thinking level

Vacancy

As an Accounting Supervisor at TMF Group you lead a team of two to six accounting professionals ranging from junior to senior level. Your main task consists of reviewing their work activities; you check the administration and annual reports of international clients, and all obligatory reporting required by the Dutch Central Bank and The Chamber of Commerce. You also ensure that all required tax returns and the corresponding international and European reports are submitted by the team on time. You make sure that all these tasks are executed according to the correct directives and rules.

In addition, you are responsible for monitoring and coordinating internal projects and you share management information with your team when necessary.

Firsthand experience

The annual report has to be drafted for a holding company that has subsidiaries and invests through equity funding and loan capital in the Netherlands and other European countries. What do you do?

You determine which Accounting Officer is appointed to this entity on the basis of required skills, knowledge, experience and the level of complexity of the bookkeeping of this entity. The Accounting Officer maintains records and compiles simple and/or consolidated annual reports on the basis of the Dutch GAAP or IFRS. You supervise and adjust where necessary, and ensure the optimal and efficient use of the available resources (capacity/hours).

When the annual account has finally been drafted, this must first be checked by the Legal Officer and then by you by means of an internal checklist. You review the accompanying legal documentation of the administration and annual account. At the same time, you determine of reviewing of the annual account by the Operational Quality Manager is required.
