Working week

Senior Legal Officer
Nathalie van Asch

I have an enjoyable day if we successfully complete a transaction. I enjoy the pressure and healthy tension involved in concluding it successfully.

On a less enjoyable day I am mainly involved with administrative tasks. That is less challenging work.

Firsthand experience

A client gets in touch with you and asks if you and your team can arrange a dividend payment. What do you do?

Firstly, you ask the client for all required information, if it is not already complete. At the same time, you inform your colleagues involved in the process (such as the Accounting Officer, your manager and other stakeholders). You prepare the required documents and as soon as all documents are complete and agreed upon, you send the documentation to the client to be signed. Once the documents have been signed, the dividend payment can actually take place, and you remain involved in this process as well. You do this by ensuring all parties involved are informed, and possible deadlines are reached. During this work, you are then both the Company Lawyer as well as the Account Manager.
