Vacancy

As an Accounting Officer in the Capital Markets Services (CMS) department at TMF Group, you are responsible for all accounting related services for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), the entities assigned to you. You monitor and control the SPVs administration and bookkeeping, and ensure that all procedures are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation and policies. You prepare consolidated financial statements and yearly annual reports, and provide audit assistance to such documentation. You also handle the VAT returns and process the income tax. You maintain contact with the national and foreign asset managers, trustees, banks and other parties concerned to gather the required information for reporting purposes, meeting deadlines and serving the clients’ needs. 

You collaborate closely with the Transaction Manager and the Account Manager. Within your team, you support the Accounting Supervisor and Accounting Team Leader.

Firsthand experience

On a daily basis, you prepare the source documents, which support the yearly annual report. What do you do?

You receive a document with transactions from your colleagues in Sofia. This information is compiled from cash flow files, reports and documentations received from Investment Managers and the Collateral Administrator. You then reconcile the transactions you received to reports, confirmations and documentations received from Collateral Administrators, Investment Managers and Banks. You also need to calculate and make adjustments for year-end accruals and impairments. After you have drafted the trial balance you draft the Financial Statements in Caseware which need to comply with Dutch Gaap or IFRS depending on the specific entity. These workbooks and Financial Statements are then audited, you are the main contact between the auditors and third parties and you need to assist the auditors and work closely with them, the Collateral Administrators, Investments Managers and Banks to resolve all audit queries as quickly as possible to enable you to meet filing deadlines. In addition to the above mentioned each SPV has payment dates at which you need to draft and calculate the VAT payable that is in line with Dutch and EU Vat regulations. You are responsible for drafting Transaction Profiles, submitting VAT and CIT returns to the Dutch tax authority to ensure compliance.
