I have an enjoyable day when I have had talks with candidates who were enthusiastic about their job interviews at companies.

A day is less enjoyable when I spend a lot of time searching for candidates in our database or on LinkedIn.

Firsthand experience

Some candidates have made it to the next round for a commercial position at a payment organisation. What do you do?

You contact the candidates to share the good news and to continue assisting them in the overall recruitment process. This means that you prepare them for what they can expect in the next interview. For example, you discuss the types of people they will be interviewed by and what the focus of the interview will be. In addition, you phone the candidates that have not been selected to let them know they will not be invited for the next interview and to share the organisation’s feedback.

After the second interview, you speak to the candidates again to hear about how it went. You discuss the flow of the conversation, different follow-up scenarios and related thoughts and feelings. If there is a follow-up interview then you repeat this process. You maintain contact with the candidates until a placement is made.

There are obligatory and optional trainings and courses in the field of payments, sales, fintech, regtech, marketing and CRM systems.
