As a Payments Recruitment Consultant at PaymentGenes, you assist Fintech and payment organisations in building their teams. The roles PaymentGenes recruit for range from commercial, product and project jobs, to IT positions. You collaborate closely with the Business Development Manager of your region, and you will focus on the relationship with the candidate. You are the candidates' first person of contact, you introduce candidates to your business partners and assist them during the overall recruitment process until a placement is made. Furthermore, you are responsible for building your own network in the Fintech and Payment industries.

Firsthand experience

Some candidates have made it to the next round for a commercial position at a payment organisation. What do you do?

You contact the candidates to share the good news and to continue assisting them in the overall recruitment process. This means that you prepare them for what they can expect in the next interview. For example, you discuss the types of people they will be interviewed by and what the focus of the interview will be. In addition, you phone the candidates that have not been selected to let them know they will not be invited for the next interview and to share the organisation’s feedback.

After the second interview, you speak to the candidates again to hear about how it went. You discuss the flow of the conversation, different follow-up scenarios and related thoughts and feelings. If there is a follow-up interview then you repeat this process. You maintain contact with the candidates until a placement is made.
