Vacancy

As a New Business Developer at Matrixian Group, you are responsible for new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients. You do this, for example, by approaching marketing and IT managers of large organisations and engaging in talks with them. You analyse the clients’ problems and goals, and see how Matrixian Group data solutions can help the clients. If you have convinced the company, you make a proposal and make sure everything is managed properly. Once you have gained new clients, you build up a long-term relationship with them and look for opportunities to further expand the business.

You work with a year target giving regular interim updates.

Working week

Business Developer
Stef Vernooij

I have an enjoyable day when I have had a good talk with a potential client and I am pretty sure they will become a real client.

A day is less enjoyable when I am only at the office and have a lot of meetings.

Firsthand experience

You have a prospective customer. What do you do?

You look for a way of getting in touch with them. You look, for example, within your network to see if you have some way in. If you don’t, you send a message through LinkedIn or you call the person. This way you try to make an appointment with the potential client. If you are successful, you analyse what the goals and problems are together with the client and see how Matrixian Group can contribute to achieving those goals. You must try to elicit as much relevant information as possible from the conversation. You do this, for example, with the SPIN method using the knowledge you have gained. You then use all this information to write an attractive proposal, which you present to the client.
