As a Supervisor Project Assembly at EuroSort, you are responsible for the carrying out of assembly work within projects. This concerns, for example, the assembly and adjustment of carriers, frames, drives and other combinations, with the aim of delivering a well functioning machine. For this, you manage the assembly staff and check if the delivered work meets the quality requirements.

You work on one to three projects simultaneously, dividing the work and keeping an eye on the planning. By giving instructions and checking (end) products, you ensure that the quality requirements are met. You also ensure that bottlenecks, such as missing parts, are resolved quickly. Furthermore, you ensure that the deadline is met according to the predetermined planning. You keep track of the status of the work in the system, which you also register the hours of the Assembly staff in.

You are part of the Workshop team, which consists of three other Supervisors, a Senior Technician Assembly, a Technician Assembly and a Machine Operator. You are accountable to the Production
Manager.

If you enjoy leading projects and solving problems and find it challenging that these problems cannot be predicted, then this is a job for you.

Firsthand experience

You want to start a new work order, but it turns out that some parts are missing. What do you do?

In situations like this, it is important to first of all provide the employees with other work so that they can continue. For example, you first have the assembly staff start working on another work order. Then you look at which parts are missing and who you should contact to solve this. If it is a small quantity, it is often possible to solve it yourself. In other cases, you discuss with the planners and ensure that they contact the supplier of the parts concerned. This ensures that the parts arrive as quickly as possible, after which you adjust the planning accordingly.

Growth

EuroSort considers personal development very important. That's why there are many opportunities to attend education, training and courses. EuroSort is currently developing a training policy to make this more concrete.

From controlling various sensors, actuators, motors and servo drives, to communication between different systems, such as servers, HMI and cameras.

Marco Vonk - Purchaser

Why did you decide to work for this company?
I started in 2011 as an Engineer at EuroSort. In addition, I did project-related purchases. Due to the dynamic growth of EuroSort, I have gradually started to concentrate and professionalize myself more in the field of purchasing. Partly because the organization feels great, from which we get satisfaction together, this is a huge stimulus to develop myself further and to keep the enthusiasm high. This is an advantage of EuroSort for me!
