Firsthand experience

A client gets in touch with you because they want you to deal with a shipment as a matter of urgency. What do you do?

First, you get in touch with the department that arranges the transport from the airport to the Warehouse. You ask if the shipment can be sent as quickly as possible from the airport to you. Then you get in touch with the Customs department. They need to ensure that all the correct customs documents are present and that the shipment can be delivered to the client. You also get in touch with the Planning department to see if it can be planned for as soon as possible. If this is possible, you make sure that everything is arranged quickly so that you can satisfy the client’s urgent request.

It could also be possible that the planning department have no availability and the request cannot be met. When you know this, you again look for the best alternative. You present this alternative to the client so that you don’t go back to the client empty handed.

Growth

There are various growth and training opportunities within CEVA. So, you can follow an Assistant Supervisor training course and a LEAN Awareness training course.
