You attract them, maintain contact and ensure that they will continuously deliver according to Boretti’s quality. There are five categories at Boretti and for all these categories you devise and implement a strategy. The categories are:

1. Cucinare (everything for in the kitchen)
2. Giardino (everything to cook outside)
3. Gelato (everything relating to ice cream)
4. Vino (everything relating to wine)
5. Caffè (everything relating to coffee)

It regards a new position which involves a lot of travelling. You set up a new department within Boretti and will make this team visible.

If you enjoy searching for real Italian quality products and you can cope with not always finding them easily, then this is the job for you.

Global License Manager

On an enjoyable day, I visit license partners in Italy and find companies that I can trust.

A day is less enjoyable when I am mostly doing administrative work and chasing up possible license partners.

Firsthand experience

You would like Boretti to have their own coffee taste. How do you deal with this?

You look at your own network to see whether you know a coffee expert or search for someone through the grapevine. This person helps you gain more knowledge about coffee so you know what you are searching for. Via this person or your network you make several appointments with distilleries in Italy. You book your trip to Italy and visit distilleries. You know how to do business and ensure to maintain the balance between professional and informal contact. You can take some coffee with you from distilleries which you are excited about. You organise a tasting at the office and involve the rest of the team in your choice. You ensure that you find something which matches the Boretti lifestyle. Then you enter into negotiations with the distillery regarding a long term partnership as licence partner.

Boretti is a growing organisation. Many opportunities arise both at home and abroad. In this role you are specifically on the cusp of building an important strategic pillar and are given the opportunity to build the license team.
