Vacancy
As a Commercial Trainee at ADM, you will develop a deep understanding of the trading market in two years. ADM is an American global food processing and commodities trading corporation. During these two years, you will work on different product lines. The first year is mainly dedicated to logistic positions. Your principal occupation consists of coordinating and arranging the shipments of the products or arrange plant logistics. You make sure there is an efficient flow of all the documents and products. This entails that you verify that all parties involved are informed about the current situation of the shipments and that they are provided with the correct documents. During your traineeship, you will also learn about contract law, logistics, contract execution, risk management and the financial implications of trading decisions.
In your second year you will work on a different ADM location in Europe. You will follow a learning plan which balances business requirements and personal development. You will be supported by a mentor from the Commercial Trading team. After the traineeship, you are prepared for a future Trader or Commercial Management role within the organization.
If you’re interested in the agribusiness and have an affinity with trading, then this is the job for you.

I have an enjoyable day when everybody sends me the right documents on time, so I can make sure a shipment goes smoothly.
I have a less enjoyable day when I have to update my Excel overview. I have to log every step in there and that takes up a lot of my time.
