During an enjoyable day I have a lot of meetings and notice that my input is being valued and that good results are achieved. Then I have come up with an A/B test and see that my set up works best.

During a less enjoyable day I have sent a mailing to the wrong target group. Then I need to do extra work to solve that resulting in other projects having to wait.

Firsthand experience

It is summer and you want to respond to this through an email campaign. What do you do?

If you respond to the weather this will always be a last-minute mail. Besides, it is important that you check whether this also applies to other countries. If it is good weather, you can respond to relevant Action products, for example, focusing on water, holiday and beach fun. Then you have three subjects you can organize the email campaign on. Subsequently, you creatively think about an attractive subject line, relevant texts and nice visual content for the mailing. To realize this you look at the special offer pages on the website to determine which online products are relevant.

When the first set up is ready, you discuss with the other email marketeer if they have any additions. After that you get in touch with colleagues from the procurement department who are responsible for these products. You process their feedback and subsequently discuss with the marketing coordinators of other countries that we operate in. They take care of the translations and can determine whether this set up will work well in the countries they are responsible for. After sending the mailing, you analyze the results and discuss these on Monday during the weekly meeting with the team.

Growth

The Action Academy offers diverse training modules through which you can further develop yourself. Programs are offered in-house for example in the field of leadership, communication, Excel and project management. In addition, external development and/or training possibilities are open for discussion. In this role you can specialize in Digital and Data focused marketing. Depending on your ambition, you can also have other digital positions.
