Vacancy

As Digital Platform Analyst at Action you are the connecting link between the internal users of various technical platforms and the development team. When something needs to be improved you analyse what it needs to comply with. You speak to the users and ensure that you collect all the requirements. You propose this to the Digital Architect and the development team and together with them you decide what is possible within the time frame and budget. Eventually a new feature must be built and tested in a sprint of three weeks. Thereby you constantly discuss with the Product Owner, users, developers and testers. Besides, you keep track of whether the platforms are used for the right purposes and are implemented in accordance with the guidelines.

Working week

It is an enjoyable day when you go live after a sprint and everything runs smoothly in the way you have developed it.

A day is less enjoyable when you hear that it is actually not possible to build functionality within the deadline and you have put a lot of effort and time into it.

Firsthand experience

The marketing team would like to set up a summer promotion on the website. How do you deal with this?

Together with the Product Owner you determine what the promotion will involve and the time frame it should occur within. You collect the requirements and ensure that it is included in the planning. You participate in stand-ups and “refinement sessions” with the team.

You discuss with the Digital Architect what you should pay attention to and which requirements it should meet to maintain connections with other platforms. Subsequently you discuss with the developers whether everything is feasible within the available time. At every step you receive many questions so you discuss these points multiple times with different parties until you have found a solution that everyone is comfortable with.

You put this into a final overview stating what needs to be done, how it will be done and how much it will cost. This will be the basis of the three weeks sprint in which it will be realized. During the sprint, you keep the overview and remain the first point of contact for various parties.
